Bon Jovi "Because We Can" Arena Tour

Project Description

Meteor Tower created content for the moving stage design of the Bon Jovi - "Because We Can" Arena Tour. The project presented Meteor Tower with many new challenges, one of which is how do you visualize the multitude of looks possible in a set like this? With that in mind, Meteor Tower designed an iPad app that showed the Hex design of the stage and could be controlled to create the different looks.

With this tool Meteor Tower began creating video content. Focusing primarily on the classic songs Meteor Tower worked with Performance Environment Design Group (PEDG) to create a cohesive visual language for the show. Alongside content creation, Meteor Tower handled content management, overseeing video created by Meteor Tower and Moment Factory.

Jonny & Richie

Our photography was widely used by the production partners to promote the show, both in the press kit and trade publications for PRG, LiveDesign, Control Freak Systems, and Production Environment Design Group.

"Living On A Prayer"

A tall refresh of a classic. We recreated content evoking looks of past tours, building a sharp, audio-reactive piece framing the whole stage.

Captain Crash

An explosion of Lichtenstein-esque comic book art.

Have A Nice Day

Stripped down to a raw rock look, we used the 16 40K Barco projectors as elaborate lighting elements, scattering winking smiley faces across the arena seats.

Spike Brant, production designer

Personally testing the walkable moving projection hexes.
